FLORIDA - JACKSONVILLE - November 13, 1987
After work, Joy and I explored the downtown riverfront district a bit. A number of Jacksonville's major buildings lie along the river as well as a variety of retail establishments. One special place Joy familiarized me with was the Jacksonville Landing. This was a trendy shopping complex that had evidently just been constructed. It added to the good memories I already had of the riverfront scene from my two previous visits in the late 70's. Another iconic waterfront structure I encountered was the large blue Main Street Bridge that spans the St. Johns River. |
