FLORIDA - JACKSONVILLE - November 14, 1987
The next day, after a bit of minor car repair, Joy took me to the beach, a most delightful place. It was sort of windy there, but that only seemed to help some people right along. It was a great day to fly a kite and the breeze was stimulating the smallish waves that several surfers were eagerly determined to ride near the pier. A loose variety of individuals were out wandering the beach. There were young adults and small curious children and deliriously happy pets. Everybody was just kicking back. A few were asleep on the restful sands. The lifeguards were busily attending to their duties. All of this, added to Joy's personable company, was a perfect getaway from cold, windy Chicago. |
