For my first full day in LA, Judy and I headed down to Marina Del Ray, her old stomping grounds. Being architecturally-minded, I was intrigued by the new home building that was going on in the area. I adored the contemporary style residences that were being created there.

Backtracking a bit, next took a look at the shoreline around Venice Beach. There was plenty of sun and fun to be had, even in Winter. Kids were playing and spandex-wearing adults were rollerskating along the sidewalks. At one section of the beach a film crew was working hard on a project. Judy informed me that this is where they were filming the Baywatch television series.
