One new element of Daytona Beach that caught me totally by surprise was the Ocean Walk Shopping Center. It's a brand new facility that sits right on the beach near the center of town, which would be near Main Street. Pretty much even with the seashore ampitheater, Ocean Walk sits at one of the prime locations on the coast.

Over the years, I had become very familiar with the specific shops that lined Highway A1A. So when something totally new and big and different appeared, I was absolutely shocked.

The Ocean Walk Shopping Complex is a jumble of bright colors and interesting shapes, designed specifically to draw tourists in. It features food and shopping and movies, so it is bound to capture lots of people for great amounts of time.
