Greetings!

This travel journal chronicles the beginning of my new career as a traveling architectural photographer. During the last 6 months of 2003, I managed to put over 18,000 miles on my gray Toyota rent-a-car as I drove across the USA photographing homes for promotional brochures. During that time, I had the opportunity to stop and see a number of interesting places and things.

Want to take a peek? Then click on the stream of destinations listed below. The images shown were either taken with a digital Canon EOS 10D camera, or my Sony digital video Handicam. Keep in mind that these are not all of the pictures I took. Just a select few to give you a taste of the scenes that I've witnessed.

So far it's been a lot of fun. I've seen tons of impressive houses. -- And one thing that has kept me from going crazy listening to the radio in my car is Apple's new "iPod". I highly recommend this trim little gadget. It's fantastic. It is also going to help me out in the future. I expect to be able to download the pictures I take with my digital camera directly into its 15 gigabyte memory for storage. An unexpected benefit.

OK, gotta run off to the next location. Colorado, I think. Take care and I'll send more tales from the open road when I return. -- Tom
