OHIO - CLEVELAND - July 20, 2003

Following Chicago, my next destination was Cleveland, which afforded me more opportunities for sight-seeing. One evening, in a spare moment, I decided to go and see what downtown Cleveland was like. To my surprise, I really enjoyed downtown Cleveland, especially its waterfront, which had a lot to look at. I told myself that this was one place I would like to come back and explore later.

For the time being, I wanted to stop and take a quick look at the relatively new Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame. There was far more to it than I expected. The building was very modern and geometric in form. Quite exciting to look at. Outside there was a crowd listening to a mock Beatles performance. Lots of fun. I went inside and checked out the lobby and giftshop, which were impressive.

After visiting the museum, the sun quickly sat, so I only got a brief look at the other nearby points of interest. Some of these included the Great Lakes Science Center and Cleveland's football stadium. There did appear to be a variety of additional tourist spots to visit as I left the area. Judging by what I saw, I would highly recommend Cleveland's waterfront area to all interested parties.
