PARENTS - RANDOM TRAVEL IMAGES - Late 1940's / Early 1950's
My uncle may have motivated me to go travel, but my parents exposed me to photography. They were incessant picture-takers, especially after I came along. And once I did, it wasn't long before they stuck a camera in my hand and turned me loose. I've been a fanatic shutter-bug every since. Regarding the photos at left, I think a number of these might be from Bob and Ruby's honeymoon. Unfortunately, both my parents passed away before I could get any good stories out of them concerning their life before my arrival. So, we'll have to guess what they were up to. All I know is that they loved to be on the go. Note: The following is a comment sent in by my friend Pat after he viewed this series: "Under Random Parents..."cool character." Your father is standing in front of the Chapel on the Rock at Camp St. Malo on highway 7 just south of Estes Park, Colorado. Suspect some of the other photos are from Rocky Mountain National Park." |
