| INDIANA - Ft. WAYNE - June 28, 2004
There really wasn't much time for me to investigate the city of Fort Wayne. I was in one evening and out the next afternoon. I did, however, manage a brief tour of Ft. Wayne's central business district shortly after my arrival. The town had a variety of nice-looking churches and administrative buildings, plus an excessive number of one-way streets. These were responsible for turning the downtown area into somewhat of a rambling maze. I would often see something I wanted to go inspect more closely, but it would take several attempts to learn the correct path which would take me there. Other than that, from what I could observe in a handful of hours, Ft. Wayne led me to believe it was pretty much an average Midwestern city. Part of my assignment took me up to a lake, just past the Michigan border. It seemed that part of Ft. Wayne's virtual populous extended up into this comfortable area. |
