| VIRGINIA - ON THE ROAD - March 06, 2004
Driving along the highways of Virginia, there's not always much to see except the rolling landscape and sky full with clouds. Of course, that's true of most any place you go. Fortunately, the sky above Virginia was quite pleasing to gaze at and produced some lovely cloud patterns and sunsets during my trip. On a more terrestrial note, truck stops often surprise me with their contents. The one shown at left contained a couple of familiar-looking kiosks, ones that I personally had helped to design. Almost 15 years ago, I was involved in constructing the full-sized mock-ups of these particular units, the TF-700s, and their smaller cousins. It's fun to see that many of them are still in action. |
