| GEORGIA - ATLANTA - April 15, 2005
At the nexus of the city, visitors will find additional items of interest. Two of the most eye-catching are the state capitol building and the Coca-Cola museum. Georgia's state capitol building is quite attractive with it's shimmering crown of gold and statuesque columns. Roughly a block away sits a tribute to one of Atlanta's corporate powerhouses and a true American icon, Coca-Cola. This cultural temple, where soft drink lovers of all ages come to worship, is a sight to behold. The eclectic entrance is an intersection of several structural grids, supported by a single bright yellow post. Suspended from the ceiling, inside of a globe, is a giant Coke logo that spins on its axis. Other details include support pylons in the shape of the company's familiar glass soda bottle and the classic Coca-Cola lettering etched into a band that circles the building. |
