Greetings friends, and fans of American road travel!

It's 2005 now and I have crossed the age barrier of 50. I look back over the five decades of my life and take note that a lot of scurrying across the landscape has taken place. It didn't seem like much as it was happening, but the miles and destinations and photographs did pile up.

Now I am delighted to start a new chapter, one in which I consciously am making the most of my travel experiences. Hopefully, I can record my adventures at a higher level of scrutiny and can bring back more significant details about the places I visit. We'll see what happens as I continue my on-going photo-safaris.
