Having just returned from my trip to Maine, I checked in with friends Valery and Bob to see what I had missed out on during my time away. Part way through our conversation, Bob suggested that I come for a visit the following morning and give his daughter a little artistic advice. Evidently, she was going to paint her car. Of course, I wondered about this, knowing that Anna was still only in High School. As it turned out, Anna had invited her friends to come over and give her car the mural treatment, a la something from an Austin Powers movie. Originally, Anna had wanted to do a psychodelic paint job on her brother's rickety old van, but that didn't happen because the van had been sold. Instead, she decided to paint her own teenage runabout, which had been recently damaged and now sported multi-colored body panels gathered from an auto salvage yard. A perfect canvas. ( continued ) |
