| MICHIGAN - CENTRAL MICHIGAN - October 07, 2005
Passing my motel's red double-decker tourbus, I set out on an assignment that would cover a large rectangular section of central Michigan. First, I headed West to Highway 127 and turned South. Reaching Mount Pleasant, I changed direction and drove back towards the vicinity of Lake Huron. At Bay City I moved South on I-75 to Saginaw and traveled West once again until I met Hemlock. Finishing Hemlock, I backtracked a bit and caught state road 52 South which led me to I-69, a route I used to escape the region. Along the way, I encountered a number of classic rural icons. Clusters of birdhouses, wood piled up for Winter consumption, a pin of buffalos, fields of dry corn. It was all there among the waves of color that were sweeping the landscape. |
