| FLORIDA - FLAGLER BEACH - January 18, 2006
On my list of people to visit were Dick and Iona, parents of one of my close friends back in Kansas City. I run into this charming couple 3 or 4 times a year as they travel back and forth between Florida and Iowa. It was certainly a treat to be able to stop and see them at their Winter residence. I thought we might be going out to eat at one of the local eateries once I arrived. Instead, Iona served us a tasty dinner, which really hit the spot. It's not very often that I get a home-cooked meal. After witnessing a rather spectacular sunset, we made ourselves comfortable, chatted for a while and then watched a few hours of TV. |
