| FLORIDA - FLAGLER BEACH - January 19, 2006
My stay in Flagler Beach was going to be brief. A deadline was approaching and I would soon need to resume my work. So, the following morning, my hosts and I took a short drive up the coast until we came to a popular spot for breakfast. Manny's was a small Greek and Italian themed restaurant that also recognized the breakfast needs of the local community. With this in mind, we were presented with a complete "bacon and eggs" oriented menu. Taking our lead from the patrons around us, we ordered the appropriate, and expected, fare. After consuming our morning nutrition, I said my goodbyes to Dick and Iona and continued on to St. Augustine and Atlanta. Passing through town, I noticed that many homes still displayed the bright pastel colors I had started to become accustomed to. I guessed this would be a running theme until I finally departed the state. |
