Companies exhibiting at conventions are always trying to find ways to get you to remember them. At the Builders Show, one reoccuring theme was to have your picture taken on a motorcycle. This no doubt has a bit to do with the current "American Chopper" craze. A related marketing tool was automobiles. In fact, a number of cars were given away at the convention.

Of course, during the event, exhibitors were constantly cooking up ways to draw builders in. In the case of Kohler, they had a stage where they periodically performed exotic dance routines. They were also inclined to utilize fashion models and television show hosts. Months before the convention, I had actually taken note of a beautiful women featured in one of Kohler's brochures. To my surprise, the young lady was present at the booth, made up with the same hairstyle and gown she wore in the literature.

On occasion, however, products simply speak for themselves. This was the case at the Jacuzzi booth where a remarkable cocoon design bathtub was on display. The sleek egg-shaped fixture was fashioned by Pininfarina, famous for their Ferrari automobile designs. Need I say more?
