GEORGIA - I-75 - January 20, 2006

Driving through Georgia on Interstate 75 is mostly a pleasent experience. I have remarked to myself how fresh the air seems and that the scent of pine is delightful. Until you come to Atlanta, the interstate is a long four-laned concrete ribbon lined with tall evergreens. There really isn't much else to see. Once in a while an exit or small town will go by, but that's about it.

During a trek across Georgia, you have to amuse yourself either by listening to music or by looking at signs and billboards. There tend to be quite a few of these. As signs go, the most interesting ones are of giant objects. And for billboards, these are sometimes adult in nature. You can always tell you have entered Georgia when you start being inundated by messages from Cafe Risque or the Erotic Cafe. Someday, I suppose I'll have to stop and see what all the fuss is about.
