| ILLINOIS - CHICAGO - February 20, 2006
I arrived to find Chicago pretty much the way I had left it, full of big buildings and hard-working, sensible people. In a number of cases, the hard-working citizens of Chicago were working hard to create additional big new buildings. It's what they like to do there. I suppose this place will eventually start to look like New York. After dark, Chicago's skyline is always an awesome sight. Built along the lake, the cityfront looks dazzling from the water. And thanks to someone in the city's past, there are several sites that extend out into Lake Michigan for a good view. Namely these would be the jetty upon which sets the Adler Planetarium, and good old Navy Pier. I chose the former for my evening's viewing pleasure. |
