Aaron's guided tour of the devastation had taken us past a number of interesting buildings. Both the city and the campus seemed to have its share of modern, recently constructed spaces.

This being my first true visit to Iowa City, I was delighted to find such a fine selection of urban architecture on display. As with Des Moines, I did not expect to see structures of this type in the middle of farm country. I guess perceptions can be misleading.
