| KANSAS - OVERLAND PARK - March 02, 2006
The debris inside of the storefronts was a still life of cinders. The twisted shapes of blackened wood and metal in the background protruded this way and that at unnatural angles. Very little of the carnage was recognizable as the property's former assets. Everything left behind was more or less infrastructure; walls, pipes and girders. This was no doubt an extremely sad day for the owners of these establishments. A number of irreplacable objects were now a distant memory. One can only hope that the insurance benefits will allow these businesses to start over and thrive again. |
