KANSAS - LENEXA (KC) - August 04, 2007

I guess there are only so many models in existence to collect and only a handful are people's favorites. That's why you tend to see the same varieties over and over again, just with different colors. But that's okay, since the selected vehicles are very pleasing to the eye.

It's just a matter of how much work the owner has put into restoring his or her wheeled masterpiece. Some idividuals go to great lengths to create an impressive classic automobile. And most think it's worth the trouble.

At this moment, I wonder if these cars' original designers ever realized just what people in the future would do with their creations. And for that matter, what did the designers themselves own and drive around? Did they feel the urge to customize their personal conveyances?

Certain people have such a love affair with transportation, it would interesting to discover what they actually think about the subject. The cars on display at this, or any other show, represent only the end result of an enthusiast's appetite. To get a complete picture, one needs to see what goes on behind the scenes.

I'm sure that has already been documented by someone out there.
