FLORIDA - TAMPA - January 11, 2008

On a third outting, my neighbor Myron showed me a few items that were closer to home.

First, we visited Tampa International Airport and made our way to the top of the parking garage. This vantage point provided an expansive view of the Tampa skyline and surrounding areas.

This did not turn out to be a unique find. We encountered other tourists wandering the perimeter who were also taking a gander at the Tampa landscape. It even turns out that my distant hostess CJ had been led to this spot in the past.

Following the view from on high, Myron drove me over to a nearby area called Cypress Point Park. There, we wandered the beach and took note of the jets frequently passing overhead.

Surprisingly, there was a kitesurfer darting to and fro in the water. Our main interest, though, was in observing the approaching sunset. We wanted to see how Myron's new camera would handle such an event.

Fortunately, the sunset was beautiful and his camera captured it perfectly (right before the batteries gave out).
