2009 is starting off to be a fascinating and unpredictable year. After spending a year and a half in Tampa, Florida, I am once again on the move.

During my multi-month stay in the Sunshine State, I have had plenty of opportunities to explore Tampa Bay and the central part of the state. In 2009, I re-experienced a number of Tampa's signature events, plus ones that come along only once in a Blue Moon.

You may notice that a large number of events took place between January and March. That is the time of year that Central Florida's weather is most agreeable.

In the Spring, I began a burst of road trips, including the car races at Sebring and a tour of the Southeast Florida coast from Palm Beach to Miami. Following that, I accompanied my friend Renate on the first leg of an "Around America" roadtrip that took the two of us to the Midwest.

During the Summer, I begin to house-sit for friends in various loactions. Several of my assignments returned me to the Midwest.
