Previously, I had lived in La Jolla for about five years and this was the first time I had been back since I decided to leave. Fortunately, La Jolla was still the same old wonderful place. Not that much ever really changes in this Southern California paradise. La Jolla was as lush with colorful flowers as ever and the pesky seals were still living down at the Children's Pool. And people still enjoyed hanging out along the shore, sitting quietly on the rocks, walls and benches as they always do.

As for me, I got to go back and eat at all my favorite places, plus visit with my close friends in the neighborhood.
