Following Hearst Castle and Cambria, I continued south towards Los Angeles and decided to look up an old friend and see if I could perhaps stay the night. Steve was happy for the company, so we spent the evening catching up on each of our activities from the last few years and enjoyed a wonderful dinner, courtesy of Steve and his delightful wife. After dinner and a few bottles of Tequiza, which Steve exposed me to for the first time, we sat along the edge of the patio and peered down into the valley. Steve had some interesting stories regarding the activities of his neighbors below. Later the next day, I followed him deeper into LA.
