The other major component of the convention are the "action figures", collectible dolls that look like your favorite comic book, cartoon or adventure movie heros. There is an endless variety of these items at the Comic-Con. Everything from Spawn to the Simpsons. Even Marilyn Manson or the Beatles from Yellow Submarine. The mind boggles. At times, it's hard to believe that companies really do make these things.
