COLORADO - August 07, 2002
On the final leg of my journey, I passed through Colorado and eventually met back up with Interstate 70 which leads to Kansas. Prior to that, most of my driving was along old Highway 66. Briefly, I stopped in Trinidad, CO to take a few pictures. This was mainly because I have passed through this small town on a number of occasions while riding Amtrak's Southwest Chief. I wanted to have an opportunity to see what life was like here close up. I must say that Trinidad had one of the finest Interstate rest stops I have ever come across. Thank you, State of Colorado! Apart from a mostly boring drive, I did experience some scary blue clouds and a trailer full of race cars being taken off to some event. By the end of the next day, I was home. |
