Right next to the Venetian sits the other amazing homage to European culture, the Paris hotel. What more can one say? They have scale replicas of the Eiffel Tower and Arch de Triumph! Plus a whole lot of great-looking French architecture. A pretty impressive sight. As with the Venetian, the Paris hotel is infused with authentic detail. From the hot air balloon out front, to the palatial columns on the buildings, to the arched green trusses of the driveway, to the little countryside shops inside, you'll be swept away by all things French. Of course, I don't remember anyone ever mentioning slot machines in the lobbies of official French buildings. But, I guess I could be wrong about that. Either way, you'll get over the obvious non-sequitor before too terribly long. Just have a glass of wine at one of the cafes and you'll begin to feel right at home. |
