For a half an hour or so, I wandered the downtown square, poking my head into the various shops and restaurants. There are all sorts of things to buy here, including those you might suspect most. Many of the stores are devoted to Southwestern jewelry, clothing, artwork and nick-nacks for the home. Other outfitters concentrate on cooking utensils and ingredients, particularly chili peppers. On certain days, native American merchants line the sidwalks selling various items they have made.
